Rules and Guidelines - Prayas '26 Tech Hackathon

ID and Venue Access

• Lanyard and ID must be worn at all times. Losing your ID may lead to disqualification.

• Permitted areas: Bharti Building, Gate 1, Summer/Winter Court, Mess.

• Between 8:00 PM and 8:00 AM, participants may not leave the Bharti Building.

• Leaving the venue or campus requires organizer permission, except in emergencies.

• Use electrical points, extensions and equipment responsibly. Keep your workspace clean and dispose of waste in the designated bins.

• Participants are responsible for their own laptops, chargers and belongings; organizers are not responsible for loss or damage.

• For any help, reach out to your POC, mentor or organizer.

Code of Conduct

• Treat participants, mentors, judges, volunteers, organizers and venue staff with respect.

• Zero tolerance for: harassment or discrimination, threatening or abusive behavior, cheating or plagiarism, unauthorized collaboration, misrepresenting your work, tampering with another team's project or equipment, and deliberately disrupting the event.

• Zero tolerance for any inappropriate conduct involving minors (POCSO). Respect personal space and boundaries; never share or photograph anyone's personal information without permission.

• Report any concerns to your POC, organizer or event safety contact.

On-Campus and External Collaboration

• No smoking, vaping, alcohol, drugs, weapons or illegal activity.

• Internet access is permitted for hackathon-related work only.

• Only registered team members may contribute to your project.

• External collaboration is not allowed: no video calls, screen sharing, AnyDesk/TeamViewer or remote desktop, remote pair programming, external developers, outsourcing, or anyone outside your registered team acting as a remote teammate.

Venue Etiquette

• Keep your table organized and cables secured.

• Use the designated rest areas and nap rooms (1102 and 1104).

• Ask organizers before moving venue equipment, and report any damage immediately.

• Do not block corridors, interfere with other teams' setups, leave food or waste at your workstation, damage venue property, or unnecessarily disturb other teams.
